At MyPocketPlant (“we,” “us,” “our”), we believe that growing a better world requires transparency. This policy explains how we handle your information when you use our platform to adopt plants, track their growth, and battle in the digital world.
If you do not agree with how we handle your data, please do not use the Service.
Our community is intended for users aged 13 and older.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
If we discover a user is under 13, we will delete their account and personal data immediately to stay in line with legal protections.
To bridge the gap between your real plant and its Digital Twin, we collect a few specific types of data:
Account Details: Your name (or first name), email address, and login credentials.
Plant & Adoption Data: Your plant’s ID, its species, its tier (1-5), and its growth progress.
Plant Media: The daily photos and updates sent from the nursery.
Support Info: Anything you share with us when you reach out via our Report/Contact Us page.
We use Stripe to handle all adoptions.
Your Security: We do not store your credit card numbers or CVC on our servers.
What we see: Stripe provides us with limited details like your transaction ID, payment status, and billing metadata so we can keep your adoption active.
Transparency is key to the "Real-Digital" experience.
Plant Location: We may show the GPS coordinates of your plant on a map so you can see where it lives.
Privacy First: To protect the security of our local farmers and their property, these coordinates may be approximate or "obfuscated" to show a general area rather than an exact pinpoint.
Your Location: We do not track your personal GPS location to provide this service.
To ensure your plant gets the best care, our local farmers have access to limited information:
They can see your first name and your Plant ID to manage your adoption.
There is no direct messaging between users and farmers. All communication and updates are handled through the MyPocketPlant platform.
If you choose to donate your harvest to an NGO:
We may share your first name with the NGO so they can acknowledge your contribution.
We will not share your email or phone number with an NGO unless you give us explicit permission to do so.
We use your information to keep the garden growing, specifically to:
Authentication Cookies: We use secure cookies to keep you logged in. These cookies automatically expire after a set period for your security.
Local Storage: We store your game preferences and non-sensitive data locally on your device for a better user experience.
No Tracking Cookies: We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
For more details, see our Cookies & Storage Policy.
Hibernation (30 Days): If your adoption stops, we keep your account history and plant photos for 30 days. This gives you a chance to reactivate without losing your digital progress. After 30 days, we may delete or anonymize this data.
Right to be Forgotten: If you want to delete your account entirely, contact us. We will wipe your personal data from our systems within a reasonable timeframe, keeping only what is legally required for tax or fraud prevention.
Your plant’s daily photos are a big part of the MyPocketPlant story.
Marketing Rights: We may use plant photos for our social media or website.
Anonymity: If we use a photo of your plant, we will ensure it does not reveal your private information or the exact secure location of the farmer. If your plant has a custom name tag, we will blur or remove identifying details.
Opt-Out: You can request that your plant's photos not be used for marketing by emailing us at our privacy contact.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Our servers are based in the USA, and by using the Service, you acknowledge that your data may be processed internationally.
